- Endel Liias is the director of communications at America Abroad Media, where he is responsible for the development and execution of AAM’s overall communications strategy, including marketing, branding, and public & media relations. Prior to joining AAM, Endel worked as senior officer at the John Templeton Foundation in charge of philanthropic outreach and partnerships. He also served as special projects coordinator and then program officer for freedom and free enterprise during his tenure at the Foundation. He began his career as an account manager and client adviser at the international philanthropic investment firm Geneva Global.
Having traveled to nearly 50 countries, Endel has broad experience in the areas of international affairs and international development. While living and working as a missionary in Cochabamba, Bolivia, Endel founded Niños con Valor (www.ninosconvalor.org), a non-profit organization that seeks to improve the lives of disenfranchised Bolivian children. Endel studied environmental biology at the University of Pennsylvania, where he received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees. He is fluent in Spanish.
