- Aziz Ahmed joins AAM as one of the most accomplished cameramen in Pakistan. Throughout his career, Aziz has covered major events around the globe -- from conflict zones to peace summits, presidential campaigns to suicide bombings. He is the only Pakistani cameraman to have covered presidential campaigns in the US, UK, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iran. He has also worked with major international media organizations including BBC, CNN, ABC News, Al Jazeera, FOX & ARD German TV.
Aziz began his career at the WTN news agency in 1997, where he first learned his trade. Since then, he has shot special reports, tele-films and documentaries, as well as every genre of news in Pakistan. In 2002, he was also part of the core team that launched GEO News, Pakistan's first private news channel.
A recipient of numerous awards as Director/Producer, Aziz's most recent accomplishment is the documentary Far Off Cry, which has been short-listed for awards at a dozen film festivals. It was also the winning entry for the Walt Ratterman Humanitarian Awards.
Aziz is also an educator, having served as visiting faculty at his alma mater. He also conducts regular workshops and sessions on camera handling, story-telling and news presentation.
