AAM launches new series in Afghanistan on women entrepreneurs
Submitted by admin on Mon, 07/02/2012 - 10:55(Washington DC – July 2, 2012) Afghan Media Productions (AMP), AAM’s Kabul-based office, launched a new radio series today focused on female entrepreneurs. Broadcast nationwide on Voice of Afghan Women Radio (VAWR), this weekly program profiles female entrepreneurs in Afghanistan and highlights their role in the country’s economy.
The series debuted today at 5:00pm Kabul time (8:30am EDT) and will broadcast every Monday night in Dari or Pashto on VAWR. Founded by Jamila Mujahid, VAWR is the first Afghan radio station to be operated “by women, for women.”
